However, we have tried to pre-empt a few of the frequently asked questions below:

Q) What is the approximate cost of a timber frame building?
A) Timber frame works out at approximately £6 per ft2 or £65.00 per m2 (depending on project design)

Q) Is timber frame cheaper than traditional brick and block?
A) As a direct comparison of the two timber frame is not cheaper than traditional, however other aspects need to be considered.

Q) How long does it take to erect a typical two story 3-4 bedroom detached property?
A) Erection time aproximately 8-10 working days with a completed structural shell left for the client to clad internally and externally.

Q) What external wall thickness do Frame Wise supply?
A) Our standard external wall panels are 90mm or 140mm, however if necessary we can achieve greater wall thicknesses for specific applications.

Q) What is the difference between the 90mm and 140mm timber frame?
A) The 90mm frame is often used where space is a premium it is approximately 10% cheaper than the 140mm frame. However, insulation costs are almost double for the 90mm than for the 140mm frame.

Q) How long does it take from recept of order to delivery/erection of frame?
A) Depending on current work loads and size of project. Approximately six weeks.
